Dan Marocco is a Los Angeles-based composer for film and television. From his comedic-action score for the Golden Globe winning BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, to his haunting orchestral score for the Dimension thriller DEMONIC, Dan thrives on creating a unique sound for each project. Dan's music builds from an eclectic range of influences from his Texas roots to his upbringing in Osaka, Japan. From the first two CDs he purchased (Dr Dre’s “The Chronic” and John Williams Greatest Hits) his taste and love for music has only widened, and while studying music at NYU, he began to discover the power of pairing that diverse palette of music with picture.

After graduating and heading to LA, Dan had the amazing opportunity to assist Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, Grand Budapest Hotel, Argo, Zero Dark Thirty) and Javier Navarrete (Pan's Labyrinth, Wrath of the Titans, Hemingway and Gellhorn).

In addition to an eight season run scoring the fan-favorite, BROOKLYN NINE-NINE, Dan’s recent scoring work includes PRIMO, a comedy on Amazon Freevee from Mike Schur and Shea Serrano, FLIPPED, a comedy on Roku starring Will Forte, Kaitlin Olsen and Andy Garcia, and feature films BOYS OF ABU GHRAIB and BROTHERHOOD. Dan's music has also been featured on Modern Family and many advertisements including commercials for AT&T, BMW, Budweiser and McDonald's.
